Minot, ND – The Minotauros and Bobcats have struggled to find the net lately with the teams averaging just 2.34 and 2.38 goals respectively in the month of January.  Thanks to goaltenders Tyler Parks and Aaron Nelson there has not been much scoring when these two squads face each other either.

Jadin Martin (2g 3a) and Cameron Rowat (4g) have done the most damage against the Bobcats this year.  Denis Dalidovich also has played some of his best hockey against the Cats with a goal and three assists in just three games against the in-state rival.  For the Cats its been their top two scorers Adam Knochenmus (4g 1a) and Patrick Moore (2g 3a) who have lead the way against the Tauros with five points each.

Parks has played all six games against the Cats and posted a 1.96 GAA in the process.  Nelson has played in all six contests as well, though he was pulled from one and came on in relief of Bryan Nies in another.  Overall Nelson has a 2.01 GAA against the Tauros thanks to a pair of shutouts.

As is often the case in close games special teams could make a difference.  The Tauros have converted 19.4% of their chances against the Bobcats and held Bismarck to 11.5% against.

Player to Watch: Jake O’Borsky the Tauros leading scorer has been scoreless over the last three games.  O’Borsky has one goal and three assists against the Bobcats on the season.
