Minot, ND – The Minotauros are closing in on their first playoff spot in franchise history holding a 17 point lead over the Coulee Region Chill, who come to Minot this weekend.  Hopefully, the Tauros will be able to dress a full line-up this weekend, something they’ve only done in half of their games in February.  Injuries and illness have continued to mount for the Tauros, who were down to only nine healthy forwards for the final two periods in last Saturday’s loss to the Chill in Coulee.

The Chill are lead by their captain Mac Jansen who has 47 points in 47 games on the season.  Jansen has posted four goals in the six previous meetings with the Tauros.  Sean Lang and Hunter Anderson have both each posted two goals and an assist against the Tauros this season.  Former Tauro Tim Shaughnessy joined the Chill at the trade deadline and has posted a .927 SV% in going 3-1-0 including a shutout of the Tauros last Saturday since joining the Chill.

Jadin Martin has lead the way against the Chill with seven points (3g, 4a) in six games against the Chill.  Tauros leading scorer Jake O’Borsky and Steven Sherman both have posted a goal and four assists against the Chill this season.  In net both Tyler Parks and Ryan Ruck have posted 2-1-0 records and combined for a .941 SV%.

Five Tauros wins, Chill loses, or any combination there of will clinch a playoff spot for the Tauros.  A weekend sweep would drop that number down to one.

Watch the Game: Both games start at 7:35 p.m. at the Maysa Arena.  Tickets are still available by clicking on the “Tickets” tab atop this page.  If you can not make it to the game both can be seen on fasthockey.com.
