Blaine, MN – For the third game in a row the Minotauros carried the play at even strength but could not overcome losing the special teams battle as they dropped to 0-1-2 on the season (full box).  The Wichita Fall Wildcats came in with the best power play in the NAHL but the Tauros stopped their  first three chances. Early in the third the Wildcats converted on their fourth opportunity however to take a 1-0 lead.  The Tauros would press the play but could not solve Justin Kapelmaster and the Wildcats would hit the empty net to make it 2-0 for the final.  Lucas Murray stopped 19 of 20 for the Tauros in taking the loss.

Next up the Tauros take on the Aston Rebels.  The Rebels come in having lost 2-1 to the Brookings Blizzard.  The loss dropped their record to 1-1-0; their win came over the New Jersey Titans last Friday.  Overall the Rebels have both scored and allowed 4 goals on the season.  While the Rebels are a new team to the league they are not comprised entirely of new faces; former Aberdeen Wing Austin Swingle is a Rebel.

Puck drop for the Tauros second game of the NAHL Showcase is at 7:00 p.m. The game will once again be on fasthockey.com, KRRZ 1390 AM, and on prostyleproduction.com.  The NAHL Showcase runs through Saturday; after the Showcase the Tauros will head to Bismarck next weekend prior to October 9th’s home opener.
