Minot, ND – The Minotauros head into their third season of play this weekend with a pair of preseason games against the in-state rival Bismarck Bobcats. The Tauros are coming off of a successful second season in the NAHL with the franchises first playoff appearance along with the first two NCAA Division I commitments in Tyler Parks and Mason Morelli.
This season the Tauros will bring back at least nine players who played a part in last season’s success. Several new faces have joined the club to bolster the roster. Players like Krisztian Nagy (four goals) and Hector Majul (seven points) are among those that have impressed the coaching staff with their play during the inter-squad scrimmages this week. Now the next step will be seeing if the strong play in camp will translate to one of the NAHL’s most heated rivalries.
With a game Friday night at the Maysa (drop at 7:35 p.m.) and then in Bismarck on Saturday (7:15 p.m. start) players whom are new to the rivalry will quickly find a dislike for the opposition. Tickets for Friday night’s game are available now for $5.00 by clicking the tickets tab atop the page.
