Austin, MN – The Tauros picked up two points in Aberdeen last night after Tyler Parks stopped 43 shots and four of five attempts in the shootout to beat the Wings 2-1.  The Tauros were outshot 39-24 in regulation with their only goal coming from Zach Holstrom on the power play late in the first.  Now the Tauros are in Austin for a pair of games with the first place Bruins.

The Tauros have had success against the Bruins this season going 3-0-0, but the two of the wins have come via shootout while the third was a 1-0 victory in the most recent meeting.  The goaltenders have ruled this series with the Tauros Tyler Parks posting a .944 SV% while Bruins goalie Nick Lehr has a .923 SV% against the Tauros.

Despite the low scoring nature of the series the Bruins’ A.J. Reid has posted four points on a goal and three assists.  Brandon Wahlin, the Bruins’ leading scorer has 49 points in 33 game, but only two goals against the Tauros.

Jake O’Borsky leads the Tauros against the Bruins with two goals and an assist.  Steven Sherman also has three points against the Bruins, all assists.  Former Bruin Jadin Martin has a goal and an assist against the team he played for in the 2010/2011 season.

Player to Watch: Tim Donohue, the Tauros captain has missed all three meetings with the Bruins due to injury.  His 11 goals lead the team despite his playing only 23 of the Tauros’ 34 games.  In what has been a low scoring series Donohue’s added offense could be the difference.

Watch the Game: Both Friday and Saturday night’s game starts at 7:05 p.m.  The games can be seen on fasthockey.com.  Also follow the Tauros on twitter for live updates.
