By: Ken Oda, minotauroshockey.com

As the season approaches we will be giving you a chance to meet the new Tauros as well as learn a little more about the returning players by asking them 20 questions.  We will be going in number order; yesterday we met Zack Bross and today we hear from Jack Murphy. Come back tomorrow to hear from Grayson Gavin.  For links to all of the past Tauros 20 Questions look to the bottom of this page.

Jack Murphy comes to Minot with 16 NAHL games already under his belt.  Murphy posted 26 goals and 37 assists in three seasons of high school hockey in Minnesota with Prior Lake.  He then skated 10 games with the Minnesota Magicians after his senior year posting a goal and an assist.  Then last season he had a goal in six games with the Kenai River Brown Bears before leaving the states for the St.-Jerome Panthers of the Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League.  With St.-Jerome, Murphy posted 21 points in 36 games and added an assist in five playoff games. At 6’0” and 1994 pounds Murphy continues the trend of the Minotauros adding size over the summer.  As a 1996 birth year player Murphy has two seasons of junior left.

From the Coach’s Office: Jack has experience in our league spending time with both MN Magicians and Kenai River Brown Bears last season.  Jack is at his best when he's skating and using his big frame.  His physical presence is an element that we could use this year,  and he shoots the puck well. – Head Coach Marty Murray
