As the season approaches we will be giving you a chance to meet the new Tauros as well as learn a little more about the returning players by asking them 20 questions. We will be going in number order; Yesterday we heard from Luke Davison and today we hear from Cam McClure. Come back tomorrow to hear from Sam Fuss. With the fifteenth pick overall this summer in the NAHL Draft the Tauros selected Cam McClure out of Duluth Denfeld High School in Minnesota. McClure posted 12 goals and 22 assists in 25 games for the Hunters as a senior. McClure is an all around player who is good in all three zones, in that regard he is comparable to departed Tauro James Mathias. At 5’10” 180 lbs, McClure brings decent size with his aggression on the forecheck. A 1996 birth year player McClure has two seasons of eligibility.
From the Coach’s Office: Cam came to our pre draft camp and really turned some heads. His work ethic and compete level allowed him separation from the rest of the pack, and we decided to use our 1st round pick on him. We are excited to see how Cam progresses, and his energy and work ethic should be valuable additions to our lineup. – Head Coach Marty Murray
