Minot, ND – As the 2016/17 NAHL season draws near we are giving Tauros fans a chance to meet all of the new members of the club as well as learn a little more about the returning Tauros. We will play 20 questions with a different Tauro every day from now until the NAHL Showcase going in number order, today we catch up with veteran forward #8 Alex Adams.
Alex Adams has already made his Tauros debut playing 4 games as an Affiliate Player last season after playing his senior season for Grand Rapids High School. Adams posted 48 points on 23 goals and 25 points through 27 games for Grand Rapids. At 6’1” and 195 lbs Adams brings size to the Tauros forward group and if he can find the same scoring touch he had in high school could fill the role of scoring power forward that the Tauros have lacked at times in the past.
From the Coaches’ Office: Alex joined us at the end of last season and gained some valuable experience playing four regular season games to close out the season. A commitment to Air Force Academy, Alex’ best attributes are his shot, size, and skill. We want him to play a hard/power forward type game. I don’t know if he understands what a dominant power forward he could become, but it’s my job to make sure he does! I’m looking forward to seeing him grow and flourish in our program. – Marty Murray
