Minot, ND – As the 2016/17 NAHL season draws near we are giving Tauros fans a chance to meet all of the new members of the club as well as learn a little more about the returning Tauros. We will play 20 questions with a different Tauro every day from now until the NAHL Showcase going in number order, today we catch up with veteran forward #20 Michael Talbot.
Talbot joins the Tauros from Anoka High School (MN) where he posted 33 points in 24 games. He added 3 goals and 8 assists in 5 post-season games for the Tornadoes. Talbot did not waste time getting on the scoresheet posting an assist in the Tauros preseason opening win over the Bismarck Bobcats at the Maysa Arena Tuesday night.
From the Coaches’ Office: Michael is a very talented center that sees the ice well. He has been impressive in camp thus far and I think he could have a very solid rookie season. He is eager to learn and asks good questions. Coming from high school, there will be a little bit of a learning curve, but if he buys into being a 200′ player, he would be very appealing to D1 schools. – Marty Murray
