Tauros Add Eight

Minot, ND – The fifth edition of the Minot Minotauros started to take shape this afternoon as the Tauros added eight players in the NAHL Draft.  The Tauros had three picks in the first two rounds, and then five picks total in rounds five through nine.

With the fifteenth pick in the first round the Tauros selected Cam McClure a forward from Duluth Denfeld High School in Minnesota.  McClure had 12 goals and 22 assists in 25 games last season.

 

Then with the first of two second round picks the Tauros added another high scoring forward Owen Larson from Holy Angels Academy in Minnesota.  Larson posted 37 goals and 15 assists in 25 high school games.  Just two picks late the Tauros went to the blue line and the USHL drafting James LaDouce of the Lincoln Stars.  LaDouce had a goal and six assists in 49 games for the Stars last season.  During the 2012/13 season LaDouce saw 11 games in the NAHL with the Amarillo Bulls and posted a goal and four assists and a +4 rating.

 

The Tauros finished out the draft with five picks in rounds five through nine, the full list is below.  Next up for the Tauros players is Main Camp in Andover, MN, July 24-26.
