Tauros Add Nathe

Minot, ND – The Minot Minotauros have traded a draft pick to the Minnesota Magicians for veteran defenseman Joe Nathe.  Nathe is in his third season in the North American Hockey League, he previously played for the New Jersey Titans and Brooking Blizzard amassing 12 goals and 33 assists for 45 career points.

The Fergus Falls, MN, native has 4 goals and 13 assists this season in 37 combined games between the Titans and Magicians.  His 17 points as a defenseman have him tied with Jared Brandt (2g 15a) for second in scoring among Tauros blue liners.  Nathe also adds good size at 6’1” and 190 pounds.

The acquisition of Nathe became necessary after Luke Davison was placed on season ending injured reserve.  Davison had a goal and six assists along with a +5 rating on the season.  A 1996 birth year player, Davison is expected to be ready for the start of next season.
