After skipping last week due to a weekday game it is time once again to check in with the Minotauros alum playing NCAA and USHL hockey.
At the NCAA DI level Merrick Madsen had a big weekend for the Harvard Crimson stopping 60 of 61 over two games to be named the Notre Dame Shillelagh Tournament MVP. The performance also earned Madsen NCAA Second Star of the Week honors. The weekend before former Tauro captain Jon Lizotte had three assists in two games as St. Cloud split with UND.
At the NCAA DIII level Steven Sherman (St. Olaf) now has 14 points in 10 games to lead all Tauros alum at that level. He is on six game point streak with goal and eight assists over that time. Kelvin Walz (St. Marys) also has double digit points with two goals and eight assists through 10 games. Jake Howie had his second two goal game as a Freshman at Marian giving him four goals to lead the Tauros alum in that category.
In the USHL, John Snodgrass, who has 12 points for Cedar Rapids, has committed to NCAA DI Colgate University. After a slow start Blake Lizotte now has 10 points (2g 8a) and is third in scoring for the Fargo Force.
