By: Ken Oda, minotauroshockey.com

With most of the Tauros NCAA DI alum having the weekend off it fell to the NCAA DIII and USHL Tauros to represent their former club.  Justin Bonanno and Steven Sherman each posted a goal and an assist for Bethel College and Saint Olaf respectively.  For Marian University James Mathias had another goal and Jake Howie registered his first point with an assist on a game winning goal on Saturday for the Sabres.

In the USHL Casey Johnson scored his first goal, it was the game winner for Dubuque on Friday night.  Blake Lizotte broke out with a goal and two assists as Fargo swept Des Moines on the weekend.

At the NCAA DI level Brandon Wildung stopped 59 pucks in Mercyhurst’s weekend split with Air Force.  Atte Tolvanen followed up being named the NCAA second star of the week along with his third time earning WCHA honors by making 48 stops in Northern Michigan’s weekend split with Alaska.  For full stats on all the Tauros playing in the USHL and NCAA see below.
