Tauros sign Oda to Director of Sales and Marketing Spot

Aug 7, 2012

The Minot Minotauros continued their assembly of new front office personell today with the signing of Ken Oda. Ken will take over the role of Director of Sales and Marketing. Oda, who also worked for the Chicago Hitman last year of the NAHL, was looking for a job in hockey after the team unexpectedly folded after the duration of the 2011-2012 season. Ken worked for the team as Marketing Director as well as the play-by-play announcer as well as well, other things.

"One time I even had to stitch some last names on the backs of jerseys," Ken said in a telephone interview. "I'm happy to be working in hockey again especially in what seems to be a much more stable situation." Ken is concious of the challenge he faces in the move north from Chicago, but he seems confident with the pieces in place.

"The community is bustling," Ken said, "and I'm thrilled to be apart of something new and exciting." "I know it's just the team's second year of exsistence but that's a challenge I look forward too," says Oda. The Minotauros are happy to have Ken aboard as they head into their Main Camp (open to the public) Aug. 17-19 at the Maysa Arena.
