Minot, ND – The Minotauros have played excellent hockey since the start of November, going 11-3-1 since Halloween.  Their good play has seen them pull away from Brookings for the final playoff spot in the Central Division and pull within six points of third place Aberdeen.  Now the Tauros head outside of the Central for a pair of games with the Wenatchee Wild.  The Tauros are 3-5-2 outside of the Central including a pair of losses to the Wild in October.

The Wild have been playing well too, going 9-4-1 since the start of November.  Troy Loggins leads the team in scoring with 13 goals and 16 assists.  Just a goal behind him is Trey Bradley who has 12 goals and 16 helpers.  Despite their high scoring numbers they are only +2 and +4 respectively as 26 of their points have come on the power play.  Loggins and Bradley’s success on the man advantage has powered Wenatchee’s power play to second in the NAHL at 21.4%. In net Gustaf Johansson and Chase Perry have shared the crease to stunningly similar results.  Johansson has a .905 SV% and 2.49 GAA in 10 games, while Perry has a .903 SV% and 2.43 GAA in 14 games played.

For the Tauros Jake McCann and Jake Howie are tied for the team lead with 13 points apiece on the season.  Colton Kramer leads the club with six goals on since being acquired from the Minnesota Wilderness.  In net Brandon Wildung has earned two out of every three games for the Tauros and his play earned him a scholarship to NCAA DI Mercyhurst.  Wildung has posted a .919 SV% and 2.48 GAA.  Merrick Madsen has played well in relief going 5-5-0 with a .904 SV% and 2.75 GAA.

Both Friday and Saturday night’s games start at 7:35 p.m.  Tickets are still available by clicking the “Tickets” tab atop this page.  Also for a limited time season tickets have been discounted to 33% off of the regular ticket price.  Also give the gift of hockey as Tauros merchandise (excluding jerseys) will be discounted 20% for this weekend’s games.
