Minot, ND – With eleven players aging out from last year’s team the Tauros were destine to look different next season, now even the players whom return from last year’s team will have a new look. The Tauros will have new home and away jersey for next season.
The new home jersey will continue the tradition of the Tauros wearing cream colored light jerseys instead of white. The new jerseys will feature two red stripes with black boarders on both the body and arms and “TAUROS” across the chest in a new more modern font compared to past jerseys. The new road jersey will have a similar design and keep the Tauros wearing red on the road. Instead of “TAUROS” across the chest it will say “MINOT.” Both jerseys can be seen at the bottom of this post.
The Tauros will again wear the black alternate jerseys from last season both at home and on the road. However, for the first time since the Tauros first season players will have two different color helmets and for the first time two sets of gloves, having the option to wear red or black helmets and gloves with each jersey. Both sets of helmets will have an orange circle with a Superman inspired G logo for Grantley Johnson, the Tauro fan from Fargo whom is battling leukemia. This is Grantley’s second battle with leukemia, Tauro fans may remember that the team wore #TeamGrantley shirts during the run to the 2018 Robertson Cup Final.
Game worn jerseys from last season are being auctioned off on the Tauros Facebook page. Proceeds from the auction of the Tauros’ representative on the NAHL All-Star Team headed to compete in Russia Sam Skinner’s home and road jerseys will being going to support Grantley Johnson. Bid by commenting on the picture of the jersey you wish to bid on. Minimum bid is $150 for all jerseys. Bidding open on all jerseys now! Each Tuesday for the next five weeks 7 jersey auctions will be drawn randomly to close. Draw will be conducted on at 3:00 p.m. on 7/23/19, 7/30/19, 8/6/19, 8/13/19, and 8/20/19. The highest bid as of that time will win the jersey if the jersey is selected that Tuesday.
