Minot, ND – The Minotauros and Bobcats rivalry has continued to build over the last three seasons since the Tauros joined the NAHL.  What was once a lopsided battle is drawing closer to even.  The Tauros are 4-5-1 against the Bobcats this season and with a pair of wins this weekend not only can the Tauros lock in their first winning record against the Bobcats, but they would clinch the final playoff spot in the Central Division.

Both teams are struggling of late with matching 2-8-0 records over the last 10 games.  A good showing by either club could get them back on track for the playoffs.  The match-up will also feature to of the NAHL’s top scorers in the Tauros’ Michael Louria and Bismarck’s Stanislav Dzakhov.  With 45 points on the season Louria sits in 15th place in the league just two points behind Dzakhov who is ninth.  In net Brandon Wildung and Merrick Madsen have split time for the Tauros while Aaron Nelson has carried the load for Bismarck; all three will be playing NCAA Division I hockey next season.

Tickets for both Friday night’s game at the Maysa and Saturday night’s game in Bismarck are still available.  To get tickets for Friday night click the “Tickets” tab atop this page.
