Minot, ND – The Minotauros host the Midwest Division’s Minnesota Wilderness for a pair of games this Friday and Saturday night.  This marks the first time the Wilderness visit the Maysa Arena.  The Minotauros dropped a pair in their only trip to play the Wilderness, one in overtime and one in regulation.  This is the last weekend that the Minotauros will wear their red, white, and blue jerseys; the game worn sweaters will be auctioned off after Saturday night’s game.

The Minotauros’ offensive struggles have continued on the current four game losing streak.  The Tauros have posted only seven goals over the last four games, while battling several injuries.  Cam Rowat’s return to the line-up should provide a boost, he was tied for the team lead in goals with seven at the time he was injured; Rowat has not played since December 27th.

The Wilderness are lead in scoring by Jakob Romo who has team best 15 goals and 18 assists.  They also have a few players whom should be familiar to Tauros fans; Eric Brenk and Jack Forbort.  Brenk, the Wilderness’s second leading scorer played for the Brookings Blizzard for a season and a half before being traded to the Wilderness earlier this season.  Forbort, started this season with the Tauros before being traded to the Wilderness for Tanner Holmquist.

Friday night will be “Crazy Fan Night” at the Maysa with prizes awarded to the three craziest Tauros fans.  Then on Saturday night the Tauros will be hosting “Military Appreciation Night.”  The Tauros sent 100 free tickets to Minot Air Force Base, and will offer all fans with military I.D. $5.00 tickets at the gate.  After Saturday Night’s game the Tauros will auction off the game worn red, white, and blue jerseys, to bid now click here.  Both games start at 7:35 p.m., tickets are still available by clicking the “Tickets” tab atop this page.
