2020-21 Schedule Released

Minot, ND – The Minotauros 10th season finally has a schedule as the North American Hockey League announced the full schedule for the 2020-2021 season this afternoon.  The season was delayed into October this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which also caused scheduling issues for teams in states operating with more restrictions.  As a result the Tauros schedule is slightly home heavy at the start and extends into April to make up for the late start.  CLICK HERE for the Tauros Full 2020-21 Schedule, or click here for a printable version.

The Tauros will open the season at home against the rival Bismarck Bobcats on October 9th and 10th as part of a jam-packed October.   The Tauros stay at home for the next couple of weeks hosting the Minnesota Wilderness October 16th and 17th and hosting the Circle Sanitation winter coat drive.  The Tauros wrap October with the annual Trunk-or-Treat Tailgate on Saturday 24th when the St. Cloud Norsemen come to town.

After getting Halloween weekend off the Tauros finally head on the road in November heading to St. Cloud the 6th and 7th.   Then return to the Pepsi Rink at Maysa Arena to take on the Bismarck Bobcats on November 10th which will be the Minotauros Military Appreciation Night.  The Tauros will head to Bismarck that following weekend, November 13th and 14th.   Then Aberdeen will come to Minot for the first time November 20th and 21st.    The Tauros annual Pack the Pepsi Black Friday game will against the Bismarck Bobcats on November 27th and as always there will be giveaways and the Tauros Booster Club raffle will be announced as well.

As the schedule flips to December the Tauros will head to the Kenai River Brown Bears temporary Minnesota home December 5th and 6th.  Aberdeen then comes to Minot the following weekend for the Tauros lone December home games on the 11th and 12th, with the Saturday game being the Scheels Teddy Bear Toss Night.  The Tauros then head to Austin before the Christmas Break on December 18th and 19th.  As always the Tauros close out 2020 with a New Year’s Eve battle in Bismarck.

January becomes a busy month for the Tauros heading to St. Cloud the 8th and 9th before coming back to Minot for a three game weekend.   The Aberdeen Wings come in for a the Thursday game on the 14th followed by a pair with the Austin  on Friday the 15th and Saturday the 16th.  The Tauros then head to Aberdeen on the 22nd and 23rd of January before returning home for the Minnesota Wilderness to close out the month on the 29th and 30th.

February will see the Tauros host the Kenai River Brown Bears on Thursday the 4th and Friday the 5th before heading to the rescheduled NAHL Showcase the 8th through the 10th.  Right out of the Showcase the Tauros return home to host St. Cloud on the 12th and 13th.   Then the Tauros head on the road for the rest of the February going to Aberdeen for three and then Cloquet to take on the Wilderness.

The Tauros get to rest some in March with the first and last weekends of the month off, but in between play two three game weeks.  Hosting Bismarck Thursday March 11th and Friday the 12th before heading down Highway 83 on the 13th.   Then playing in Aberdeen on St. Patrick’s Day before hosting St. Cloud on Friday and Saturday March 19th and 20th.

While the season usually wraps up and moves into the playoffs in April, this year due to the late start April will mark the hottest part of the playoff race.  The Tauros have just three home games in the month hosting Aberdeen on Tuesday April 6th, and Austin April 16th and 17th.  The rest of the month is spent on the road heading to St. Cloud, Cloquet, and wrapping up the regular season in Austin on April 23rd and 24th.

The Tauros will be looking to extend their active playoff streak to eight seasons having made the playoffs each year that they have been played with the exception of the franchise’s first season.  The eight consecutive playoff berths is the second longest active streak behind Fairbanks.  Get season tickets now by clicking here, or on the “Tickets” tab atop this page.   Individual game tickets will be available soon.
