2021-22 Schedule Released

Minot, ND – The NAHL announced the 2021-22 schedule earlier this afternoon.  The league will return to the 60-game format it had prior to Covid-19 including the resumption of the NAHL Showcase event in September to kick off the season.

The Minotauros will open their 11th season with four games at the NAHL Showcase starting on September 15th against a yet to be determined opponents.  From there the Tauros will head to Austin, MN to take on the Bruins before returning to North Dakota.  The Tauros’ home opener will be Saturday October 2nd against the Bismarck Bobcats.

Other notable dates include October 8th and 9th at home for the Tauros first look at the North Iowa Bulls who have joined the Central Division after moving from Amarillo, TX to Mason City, IA this summer.  The Tauros first trip to Mason City will be the very next weekend.  The Tauros first chance to gain a measure of revenge against the Aberdeen Wings for last spring’s playoff series loss comes on November 4th when the Wings visit the Pepsi Rink at Maysa Arena.  The Tauros will come out of Christmas break hosting the Bobcats on December 30th and as is tradition the Tauros will head to Bismarck on New Years Eve.

After the calendar turns over to 2022 the Tauros will see a tough stretch in February with six games against the Wings and two against the Bobcats.  As the push for the Tauros 9th consecutive playoff berth continues into the spring the Tauros will get a rare off weekend to open April before hosting St. Cloud and finishing the season with a home-and-home series against the Bobcats starting on April 15th in Minot and finishing 16th in Bismarck.
