Just four months into his Tauro careers Chase LaPinta is doing things on the ice that no Tauro has done before.  LaPinta closed out the month of December scoring goals in the Tauros final seven games of 2022, surpassing Dan Russell’s franchise record of goals in six consecutive contests set in 2020.

Overall, during LaPinta’s current run he has seven goals and five assists for 12 points along with a +8 rating.  The dominant run brought his season totals to 25 points on 13 goals and 12 assists with 27 games played along with a +16 rating.  The first year forward is now tied for 15th in the league in goals and plus/minus.  Among rookies the rankings are even better, he is second in goals and fourth in points.

Head Coach/General Manager Cody Campbell credits LaPinta for taking ownership of his development, “Chase came here as a very talented player that had holes in his game. He has put in a ton of work and committed to playing hard, and responsibly every second of every shift.”  LaPinta agrees, “what is key for me is just working everyday to get better.”
