Minot, ND – The Minotauros games were snowed out this weekend but the weather did not stop a number of alum from playing at all levels all around the country.

NHL

Blake Lizotte – After making his NHL debut last spring in the Los Angeles Kings final regular season game Lizotte used a big preseason to force his way onto their opening night roster.   Lizotte picked up his first NHL point with an assist on October 8th against the Calgary Flames.  Lizotte spoke about his first career point.

 

AHL

Jon Lizotte – Like Blake Lizotte, Jon made his professional debut last season after St. Cloud State’s season ended.  Jon Lizotte picked up a goal and an assist in three games on an amateur tryout contract with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.  His play earned him a contract for this season and Lizotte picked up an assist last night in the Pens’ third game of the season.

Mason Morelli –  Morelli has yet to make his first appearance for the Stockton Heat this season but will be looking to continue his hot start to his professional career after posting three goals and an assist last season in nine games after finishing his senior year at U. Nebraska-Omaha.

 

ECHL

Tyler Parks – The former Tauro goaltender starts his fourth season in the ECHL, his second in Rapid City where he posted a 2.68 GAA and .919 SV% for the Rush last season.  This season Parks lost his first game of the season allowing three goals on 31 shots.

Merrick Madsen – Another former Tauro will join Parks in net in Rapid City for his second professional season.  Last year Madsen split time between the ECHL’s Norfolk Admirals and the AHL’s Tucson Roadrunners.   He has yet to appear in a game for the Rush this year.

Scott Dornbrock – Starts his third professional season with the Cincinnati Cyclones last year he posted a goal and nine assists in 24 games for the Reading Royals.  Dornbrock is +1 with no points through one game for the Cyclones this year.

Jake Clifford – Had a goal and is +3 for the Tusla Oilers through two games in his first professional season after finishing at Arizona State.

 

NCAA DI

Johnny Walker – Through four games Walker is second in the country with six points on three goals and three assists for Arizona State.

James LaDouce – Has an assist through four games in his senior season for Alaska.

Taylor Lantz – Picked up his first college point in his first college game with an assist for Alaska – Anchorage in a 7-1 to Maine.

Alex Adams – Has a goal through two games in his sophomore season for Bemidji State.

Miroslav Mucha – Has a goal and an assist in his second season with Lake State.

Grant Loven – Has a goal and an assist in his second season with Northern Michigan

Ryan Ruck – After four seasons with Northeastern U.  Ruck is a graduate transfer to Colorado College where through two games he is 1-1-0 and has posted a .909 SV%.
