Minot, ND – The Minot Minotauros Junior Hockey Club and their online auction partner DASH (Digital Auction Showdown) are teaming up to support the Domestic Violence Crisis Center, Minot, during April’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The Tauros will participate in the DVCC’s Walk a Mile event as well as wear specialty jerseys provided by DASH for select games in April. The jerseys, produced by K1 Sportswear, will be auctioned off via DASH (web.dashapp.io/auctions/minotminotauros) with the proceeds going to the DVCC.
Ken Oda, Director of Operation for the Minot Minotauros said “we have had a great relationship with the DVCC over the last eight years through our SCHEELS Teddy Bear Toss nights and we’ve had a strong relationship with DASH as one of, if not, the first NAHL teams to partner with them. I’m excited to be able to bring those relationships together and raise money for a great cause.”
Victoria Conner, Community Relations Specialist for the DVCC added “We are grateful to organizations like the Minot Minotauros for continuing to support our programming and the Minot community as a whole. We know it is a difficult time to give and by giving in this way, we are teaching consent and healthy boundaries to the next generation. It is a truly amazing thing to be a part of.”
DASH’s founder Jonathan Hufnagel is also excited for the opportunity to support the DVCC through the Tauros, “We are honored to be a part of this fundraiser and awareness campaign for the DVCC. This is an incredibly worthy cause and one we are putting all of our resources behind to make a difference! Thank you to the Minotauros organizations and the DVCC for allowing us to take part!”
The jersey auction will go live on DASH on Thursday April 1st. The Tauros will wear the jerseys for select home and road games in April as well as when they participate in the DVCC’s Walk a Mile event. The auction will end on DASH on April 17th the first official day of the DVCC’s Walk a Mile event so that fans can wear their Tauros DVCC jersey while they participate. Winning bidders will be able to pick up their jersey at the Minotauros home game that night against the Austin Bruins or later at the DVCC’s Walk a Mile event; winning bidders from outside of Minot will be able to have their jersey shipped to them.
