Minot, ND – The Minot Minotauros announce that President of Operations and Play-by-Play Broadcaster Ken Oda has stepped down from his position after 14 seasons with the organization for personal reasons and will be relocating with his family to Bismarck. Ken has been an integral part of the Minotauros since the team’s early days, helping guide the organization from an expansion franchise into a model organization in the NAHL. This past season, he eclipsed his 1,000th NAHL broadcast. His dedication, hard work, and contributions have played an important role in shaping the Minotauros into what they are today. The Minotauros organization would like to sincerely thank Ken for his 14 years of commitment and dedication. We are grateful for everything he has done for the organization and wish him nothing but the best in his next chapter. Coby Brault will now serve as VP of Business Operations and Media. “Ken took a chance on me 5 years ago and gave me my start in the world of sports,” said Brault. “I would not be in this position today without him. I wish him nothing but the best moving forward.” Kellen Tharaldson will now also serve as VP of Business Operations. Additionally, Head Coach and General Manager Cody Campbell will take a more active role with the business operations. “Ken, as you move on to your next chapter in Bismarck, I want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for the incredible 14 years you’ve dedicated to our hockey club. From day one, your commitment, hard work, and passion for the game have been instrumental in building the strong, respected organization we are today. “ said Minotauros Governor Brad Porter. “On behalf of the entire organization Thank You for everything you’ve done.” The Minotauros begin the preseason next weekend in the Eck Rink at MAYSA Arena against the Bozeman Ice Dogs of the NA3HL. Both Friday and Saturday’s games are free admission. After that it’s once again time for the War In Watford vs the Bismarck Bobcats.
