Going Camping

Minot, ND – The 2013/14 hockey season is about to get underway for the Minotauros with players reporting for training camp on Thursday.  Several Tauros, both new and old, have been already been in Minot skating but Thursday night marks the deadline for players to report. 

Fans will have their first chance to meet the team on Friday at the Tauros’ inaugural golf tournament at the Rough Rider Golf Course.  Then over the course of next week there will be three scrimmages open to fans free of charge.  The first is Sunday at 7:00 p.m., Monday at 9:30 p.m., and Wednesday at 6:10 p.m.

The Tauros will open the exhibition season on Friday September 6th by hosting the Bismarck Bobcats at 7:35 p.m. (tickets $5) and follow that up with a game in Bismarck the next night at 7:15 p.m.  Wednesday, September 11th the Tauros head up to Canada to take on the Estevan Bruins of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.  Then the Tauros wrap the pre-season on Saturday September 14th the Minotauros head Grand Forks to host the Brookings Blizzard at Ralph Engelstad Arena.  Tickets for that game will be sold at the door at $5 for anyone over 10 years old. 

After the game at the Ralph, the Tauros will kick off the regular season at the 11th NAHL Showcase Tournament in Blaine, Minnesota from September 18th through the 22nd.  In Blaine, the Tauros will face the Corpus Christi Ice Rays, the Port Huron Fighting Falcons, the Springfield Blues, and the Michigan Warriors. 

Tickets for all of the Tauros regular season home games will go on sale September 1st at noon.  Season tickets are on sale now by clicking the tickets tab atop this page.
