Preseason Schedule

Sep 10, 2020

Minot, ND – With practices starting on Sunday the Minotauros are preparing for four preseason games to cut the roster down to the allotted 24 players.  Typically, the Tauros play against Canadian junior teams in the preseason, however with Covid closing the US/Canada border this season the Tauros instead will play two games against the Aberdeen Wings to go with their traditional pair against the Bismarck Bobcats.

The Tauros will open the preseason in Aberdeen on September 19th.  Then the Wings will head north the following weekend to cap off the Tauros Training Camp Festival on September 26th.  The Tauros lone home preseason game will end a fun day of events surrounding the Tauros. In the morning the Tauros will participate in the “Run with the Bulls” 5k benefitting the Taube Museum of Art.   Then the day shifts to the Maysa Arena with tailgate and wing cook off put on by the Minotauros Booster Club, followed by the Checking for Charity game benefiting Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports.  The Checking for Charity game will feature a team of Tauro alum representing the first nine years of Tauro history against a team of Minot Allstars.  Finally, the Tauros will wrap up the night trying to cook the Wings on the ice (tickets here).

The Tauros will wrap up the preseason for the second year in a row with the War in Watford City, a two-game set against the Bismarck Bobcats at the Rough Rider Center in Watford City, ND on October 2nd and 3rd. Ticket information will be released soon.

After that the Tauros will move into the regular season which is set to start on October 9th.   The regular season schedule will be announced next week. Check back here at gotauros.com for all Tauros news and updates.
