Cloquet, MN – The Minotauros head to the Minnesota for the first time this season to take on the Minnesota Wilderness. The trip is not without a quirk however unlike a usual weekend away the Tauros will play Saturday night and Sunday afternoon instead of the usual Friday and Saturday nights.
The Tauros are 3-0-1 this season against the Wilderness with all four contests taking place on the Pepsi Rink at Maysa Arena. Damon Zimmer has been strong against the Wilderness posting four goals in as many games. Gabe Temple and Jack Westlund each also have as many goals as games played against the Wilderness with two each. Goaltender Keenan Rancier has also played some of his best hockey against Minnesota posting a 3-0-0 record, 1.67 GAA, and .958 save percentage.
For the Wilderness Jacob Herter has driven the offense against the Tauros; though the Tauros have kept him from scoring a goal, he has posted five of his seven assists on the season against the Tauros. Mitch Allard has posted two goals and defenseman Dane Stoyanoff has a goal and an assist for the Wilderness against the Tauros. Offense from the defense has been a theme for the Wilderness with Grant Docter (2g 12a) and Bobby Metz (7g 5a) being the team’s top two point men.
The weekend in Minnesota give the Tauros a chance to bounce back from an unsuccessful road trip to Aberdeen last weekend, it was the Tauros first trip out of North Dakota this season. The Tauros remain in third place in the NAHL Central Division with a 13-13-3 record and 29 points in the standings, seven points ahead of the Austin Bruins and nine ahead of Minnesota.

The Farmers Union Insurance Pregame Show will start at 7:20 for Saturday and 12:50 on Sunday for 7:35 and 1:05 puck drops respectively.
