Minot, ND – The Minotauros return to the Maysa Arena for their first weekend set at home since mid-March.  Since that last weekend set the Tauros have gone 5-2-1 including a weekend sweep of this weekend’s opponent the Austin Bruins.

The Tauros enjoyed a brief break after a busy stretch that saw them go 3-2-1 in six games over a 10 day span.  On Sunday Cade Stibbe tied Johnny Walker for the Tauros all time lead with 23 points career against the St. Cloud Norsemen; this weekend he can tie or even pass Jadin Martin for the Tauros lead against Austin.  Martin had 13 career points against Austin on six goals and seven assists; Stibbe currently sits at 12 points against the Bruins with five goals and seven helpers.  In goal Keenan Rancier and Carter Clafton each have two wins against the Bruins with Rancier playing some of his best hockey against them posting a .972 SV% and Clafton picking up his first two career junior wins in a sweep of the Bruins three weeks ago.

The Bruins meanwhile come in off of a busy stretch as well with a win Wednesday over the Minnesota Magicians after splitting with the Bismarck Bobcats last weekend.  Barrett Brooks has two goals and an assist in the last three games for the Bruins and is tied for second on the team with three points against the Tauros this year.  Former Tauro Kyle Oleksiuk leads the Bruins against Tauros with three goals and an assist, he also had two helpers last weekend.

The weekend set against Austin will be the final games the Tauros wear their Domestic Violence Crisis Center Sexual Assault Awareness Month jerseys.  To bid on the jerseys go to DASH, to support the DVCC go to www.courage4change.org.  Fans who win a jersey and attend Saturday’s game will be able to take their jersey home that night.  Also on Saturday night the Minotauros Booster Club will have a raffle and silent auction in the MACF Room at Center Ice.  Tickets for both sets are available here or through the “Tickets” tab atop this page.
