Minot, ND – This weekend the Minotauros host the Austin Bruins as the battle for playoff position in the NAHL Central is tighter than ever.  The Tauros currently sit in second place with 49 points while the Bruins and Bismarck Bobcats sit in third and fourth tied with 48 points.

The Tauros and Bruins have identical 3-2-1 records against each other through the first six meetings of the season.  Nik Armstrong-Kingkade leads all scorers in the season series with 10 points on six goals and four helpers.  Ville Immonen with nine points (3g 6a) and Dante Sheriff eight points (1g 7a) round out the top three scores through the six games.

Tauros Top Prospects bound goalie Ben Garrity, who missed the most recent weekend set between the teams, has been the been the most consistent goalie in the head-to-head going 2-0-1 with a 2.57 GAA and .918 SV% against Austin.  Brett Miller has appeared in all six games against the Tauros through played only four full contests earning a 3-2-0 record 3.23 GAA and .892 SV%.

The weekend presents a chance for the Tauros to make gains in the tight Central playoff picture.  With the Bobcats playing the Aberdeen Wings the Tauros could pull five points ahead of both the Bruins and Bobcats, or potentially within seven points of the first place Wings.
