The Tauros tendered Sam Gilmore early last tender season. At 6’4” and 185 lbs., Gilmore continues to add size to the Tauros forward corps. Playing the last two seasons in the Tier 1 Elite League for the Colorado Rampage U18, Gilmore posted eight goals and 21 assists in 56 games played. With his size Gilmore will relied upon to bring a physical presence to the ice immediately. If he can bring offense along as well, he will be a consistent contributor on the Tauros bottom six.
From the Coach’s Office: Sam is another big bodied forward that we added up front. Coming off a nice year with the Colorado Rampage, Sam's big frame and skill set make him a solid addition. He protects the puck well, works the corners, and gets to the dirty areas. Sam will be a key to our forecheck and will be relied on for a physical presence. – Head Coach Marty Murray
