As the season approaches we will be giving you a chance to meet the new Tauros as well as learn a little more about the returning players by asking them 20 questions.  We will be going in number order; yesterday we met Tyler Jeanson and today we hear from Christian Mohs. Come back tomorrow to hear from Colton Berg.  For links to all of the past Tauros 20 Questions look to the bottom of this page.

Christian Mohs may have been the most underappreciated Minotauro last year.  The third member of the top line with Blake Lizotte and Johnny Walker, Mohs was every bit as important as his headline grabbing linemates.  His 18 goals and 33 assists were the second best on the team in each category behind Walker’s 20 goals and Lizotte’s 38 assists.  His +23 rating was also second best on the team as was his 15.9% shooting percentage.

Aside from his offensive ability, Mohs was an excellent two-way forward.  The coaching staff called on him to be on the ice late in games to protect leads as well as on the penalty kill.  There is no reason to expect that work load to diminish in his second year as a Tauro.

A 1995 birth year Mohs is in his final season with the Tauros.  Another season like his rookie year should earn him an NCAA DI look.

From the Coach’s Office: Christian had an exceptional year for us last season, and many nights, he was the best player on the ice.  Finishing in the top 30 in league scoring last season was a huge accomplishment.  We want to be a team that is able to skate and and make plays, and Christian is a player that does both very well.  He is a player that we will rely on heavily this season. – Head Coach Marty Murray
