Tauros 20 Questions: #23 Chase Springman

Sep 10, 2015

As the season approaches we will be giving you a chance to meet the new Tauros as well as learn a little more about the returning players by asking them 20 questions.  We will be going in number order; Yesterday we heard from Quinn Fuchs and today we hear from Chase Springman. Come back tomorrow to meet Austin Martinsen.  For links to all of the past Tauros 20 Questions look to the bottom of this page.

Chase Springman  finished fifth on the Tauros in scoring last season with 13 goals and 18 assists for 31 points.  He proved especially dangerous on the power play with five goals and eight assists.  Springman has one of the best shots on the team, and when given time and space to fire he can beat any goalie in the league.  A streaky scorer, Springman was near unstoppable when on a hot streak last season with seven multipoint games.  If he can avoid the occasional cold streaks that hit him during his rookie campaign Springman could appear among the league leaders.   A 1996 birth year Springman has another season of eligibility after this one, look for him to be a key piece of the Tauros for the next two seasons.

From the Coach’s Office: Chase had a very good rookie season for us last season having 13 goals and 31 points. Chase is a natural goal scorer, and with this being his second season in the league, we expect him to play a top 6 role for us and be a consistent scoring threat every night. So far in camp, he's shown great leadership, which is nice to see. – Head Coach Marty Murray
