As the season approaches we will be giving you a chance to meet the new Tauros as well as learn a little more about the returning players by asking them 20 questions.  We will be going in number order; yesterday we met Martin Aune and today we hear from Jared Brandt. Come back tomorrow to hear from Derek Frentz.  For links to all of the past Tauros 20 Questions look to the bottom of this page.

Jared Brandt enters his third year with the Minotauros and has grown into one of the most dependable defensemen in the league.  Brandt made his initial appearance for the Tauros during November of the 2012/13 season playing in an exhibition game against the Bismarck Bobcats in Dickinson, ND. He was the best player on the ice that night and the Tauros worked to make sure he would be a Tauro for the 2013/14 season.

Over the last two seasons Brandt has played 90 games for the Tauros. After an up and down rookie year in which he played 38 games and posted just two assists, Brandt came back with three goals and 14 assists in 52 games last season. Now the most tenured Minotauro Brandt will be counted on to provide leadership in his final year of junior.

From the Coach’s Office: Jared will be in his third season with the Tauros and has developed into a very dependable player for us.  Even though he isn't a player that received a lot of media attention and personal awards, I feel he was one of the most steady defensemen in our division last season.  Jared is a player that every coach would love to have on their team both on and off the ice.  He will be a key cog on our blueline this season, and is a player that will expand his role from last season. – Head Coach Marty Murray
