Tauros Add Bogenholm

Oct 19, 2020

Minot, ND – The Minot Minotauros have acquired defenseman Reid Bogenholm from the Minnesota Magicians in exchange for future considerations.  Bogenholm is already committed to NCAA DI Air Force.

With the NAHL Midwest Division not starting yet, Bogenholm has not played a game for the Magicians.  Last season he played high school hockey in Minnesota for St. Cloud Cathedral where he posted six goals and 21 assists for 27 total points in 24 games; he added eight more points (1g 7a) in six playoff games.  He also had three goals in 10 games playing in the Minnesota High School Elite League.

Tauros Head Coach and General Manager Shane Wagner was thrilled to acquire another DI caliber defenseman describing Bogenholm as “a great skater with ability to create opportunities with his legs.”  Wagner added that Bogenholm is “hard working with a lot of upside potential.”

Being from St. Cloud Bogenholm knows a few of the western Minnesota native Tauros already such as Jack Westlund and Grant Kwapick.  He will also be playing with another defenseman committed to Air Force in Cole Stofflet.  Bogenholm and the Tauros will take the ice this weekend against his home town NAHL team the St. Cloud Norsemen.  Tickets are still available through the “Tickets” tab atop this page or by clicking here.
