Tauros Add Marino

Dec 13, 2018

Minot, ND – The Minot Minotauros have acquired veteran forward Vince Marino from the Brookings Blizzard in exchange for a tender and a draft pick.  Marino had 14 points in 18 contests for the Blizzard including 11 points in his last 11 games.  In his third NAHL season Marino has 80 total points on 32 goals and 48 assists over 123 games between Brookings and Wilkse-Barre.

Tauros Head Coach and General Manager Marty Murray was thrilled to be able to acquire a player the caliber of Marino, “we are very excited to bring a player of Vince’s caliber into Minot. He’s a proven veteran that plays a solid 200′ game and is a great teammate. The acquisition gives us many options up front, and makes our already strong group of forwards that much better.”

This is the second year in a row that Murray has pulled the trigger on a move for a veteran a couple of months before the league’s February trade deadline..  Last season Jake Rosenbaum was added to help stabilize the defense, that move helped spark a run to the Robertson Cup Title Game, Murray and the Tauros hope this one has a similar result.

Marino, who will wear number 27, is expected to arrive in Minot tonight and play in Friday night’s game against the Aberdeen Wings.  Ticket for Friday’s game are available through the “Tickets” tab atop this page or by clicking here.
