Minot, ND – Less than three hours before the NAHL trade deadline the Minotauros have acquired Quinn Warmuth and Patrick Choi from the Maryland Black Bears in exchange for Kyle Oleksiuk, a fourth round draft pick, and future considerations.

Warmuth is in his third season in the NAHL having posted 44 points (8 goals and 36 assists) through 151 games in the league.  Warmuth has 5 goals and 18 assists in 42 games this season while also serving as the Black Bears Captain.  As a 1999 birth year the veteran defenseman still has another year of junior eligibility remaining.  Warmuth will also be participating in the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament as a member of the NAHL Selects Blue team whose roster was selected by NHL Central Scouting.

Choi is in his final year of junior hockey and 5 goals and 13 assists through 23 games.  Prior to joining the Black Bears for this season Choi posted 54 points in 48 games in the NCDC mostly for Syracuse.  Choi has also represented his native South Korea on the international stage playing for their U18 team.

Plans for both players to join the Tauros are still being made.  The Tauros will be in Cloquet, MN, this weekend for two games against the Minnesota Wilderness.
