Tauros Add Two

Sep 5, 2020

Minot, ND – The Minotauros rounded out their preseason roster with a pair of acquisitions recently adding forward Kaiden Scott and defenseman Jared Lambright.  Both players were added as a result of dispersal drafts due to both the Kansas City Scouts and Corpus Christi Ice Rays deciding not to play this season due to Covid concerns.

The Tauros selected the 20-year-old forward Scott from the Kansas City Scouts where he played the last two seasons.  Prior to that he Scott played for the Springfield Jr. Blues and the Austin Bruins during the 2017-18 season.   Last season he posted nine goals, six assists, and a +2 rating in 52 games played.  For his NAHL career Scott has played 119 games posting 13 goals and 16 assists.

Lambright was acquired from the Northeast Generals in exchange for the Tauros pick in the Corpus Christi dispersal draft.  Lambright is already NCAA DI committed to St. Lawrence University but first the defenseman has two seasons of eligibility remaining.  Last season for the Northeast Generals Lambright posted two goals, 13 assists, and a +7 rating in 47 games played.

Scott and Lambright will be joining the rest of the Minotauros in Minot soon as practices begin on September 13th.   The Tauros open the preseason on September 19th in Aberdeen before hosting the Wings on September 26th to cap off the Tauros Training Camp Festival which includes a team of Tauros Alum playing in the “Checking for Charity” game benefiting Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports as well as a 5k “Run with the Bulls” in the morning benefiting the Taube Mueseum.  Tickets for the double header Checking for Charity game and Tauros/Wings preseason game can be purchased through the “Tickets” tab atop this page or by clicking here.
