The Minotauros alum continue to excel at all levels as the hockey season wears on. Starting at the NCAA DI level Merrick Madsen was nominated for yet another award, this time the Walter Brown Award. Madsen and Atte Tolvanen remain in the fan voting for the Hobey Baker Award on Facebook, vote for your favorite former Tauro one a day until voting closes. Also at the NCAA DI level Scott Dornbrock had two assists in Miami’s 3-1 win over Denver on Friday. At the University of Nebraska-Omaha Mason Morelli had a four point weekend with a goal and three assists against Colorado College including a goal and two assists in Saturday’s 6-1 win.
Jerry Laakso lead the Tauros Alum at the NCAA DIII level with four assists on the weekend for U-Mass Dartmouth. Tim Donohue had two goals for Gustavus Adolphus, Matt Audette had two assists for the University of Wisconsin – Superior, and Justin Bonanno had a goal and an assist for Bethel. At Marian James Mathias had a goal and an assist and Jake Howie and Nick Monfils had an assist each.
In the USHL Blake Lizotte continues to put up points at a blistering pace his three assists over the weekend give him 17 points in his last 12 games for the Fargo Force. For full stats on the Tauros alum playing in the USHL and college ranks see the charts below.
