Tauros Feel Olympic Spirit

Jan 23, 2018

Minot, ND – The Minotauros are proud to announce that they will wear 1980 “Miracle on Ice” inspired jerseys for four home games in February as U.S. Olympians represent the United States in Pyeongchang, South Korea.  The jerseys made by K1 Sportswear will be worn February 2nd, 3rd, 9th, and 18th.

The jerseys are replicas of the ones worn by the 1980 US Mens’ Olympic hockey team that shocked the world and won gold in Lake Placid with one twist; a red, white, and blue Tauro head added to the arms.

After the Tauros home game against the Bismarck Bobcats on February 18th fans will be able to bid to take their favorite Tauro’s jersey home.  Each of the 23 game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off on the ice after the game.  Then after the game the Minot Park District will be showing the movie “Miracle” and opening the ice for public skating.

Aside from the jerseys the Minotauros will be posting additional Team USA themed Tauros items for auction on DASH during the Pyeongchang Games.   To get the DASH mobile app, go to www.dashapp.io!
