Tauros Send Five to 2024 Top Prospects

The Minot Minotauros are proud to announce that four players, Rylan Jockims, Niklas Ketonen, Joel Lehtinen, and Trevor Stachowiak; along with Head Coach/General Manager Cody Campbell will represent the Tauros on Team Central at the 2024 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament.

Jockims, a first year Tauro leads Tauro defensemen with 16 assists.  His 17 points places him sixth among Central Division defensemen as well.   Prior to Minot the 20 year-old blueliner spent two seasons in the AJHL primarily with the Calgary Canucks.  Overall he had 38 points in 85 games in the AJHL.

Ketonen, another first year Tauro, is third on the Tauros with 33 points on 11 goals and 22 assists in 32 games played.  His +15 rating is also third on the team.  Prior to playing in Minot the 20 year-old played for Lukko U20 in his native Finland where he had 38 points in 90 games over two seasons.

The 20 year-old Lehtinen, leads the Tauros with 39 points on 11 goals and 28 assists.  His 13 power play assists are sixth in the NAHL and his 39 points are ninth in the league.  Another first year Tauro, Lehtinen also played U20 in Finland the last two seasons where he amassed 31 points in 39 games played for Kiekko-Espoo. 

Stachowiak in his fourth and final season in Minot has played his entire junior career with the Tauros. In his second season as Captain Stachowiak has posted 8 goals and 23 assists for 31 points.  His career marks of 193 games played, 73 assists, and 103 points are all franchise records. 

Campbell is in his third season as the Head Coach/General Manager of the Minotauros.  This will be his first Top Prospects Tournament as the Head Coach of Team Central.  As for his four players that will be on the Team Campbell was proud of the group, “we are excited for all 4 of our guys to be representing our team at NAHL Top Prospects this. Trevor, Joel, Niklas and Rylan have all played key roles in our groups success this season and all are very deserving of this opportunity to continue to showcase themselves to NCAA Division I programs.”
