Minot, ND – The Minot Minotauros are proud to announce our Tenth Anniversary Jersey. The jersey pays tribute to many elements from our history while still creating a new look as we charge ahead into the future.
The two most obvious changes in this jersey are a return to a white base for the first time since the Tauros first season along with a return of the Tauros inaugural logo. While the jersey is predominantly white the design incorporates two cream color stripes on each sleeve, a tribute to the cream color jersey designs the Tauros have worn at home over the last eight years. Though the colors are different the sleeve stripe pattern of thin stripe, thick stripe, thin stripe, is taken the Tauros second home jersey worn for the 2012/13 and 2013/14 seasons.
The red names pay tribute to the Tauros second home jersey as well, while the red numbers are representative of all but the Tauros third home jersey design worn for the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons.
Speaking of the Tauros third home jersey the black shoulder yoke with red trim is a tribute that time period during which the Tauros picked up their first playoff series win in, a three-game sweep of the Bismarck Bobcats.
Just as the white base and logo choices pay tribute to the Tauros inaugural season the side panels on the body do as well. They are a reference to the Tauros first alternate jersey from that season which became the Tauros road jersey for the 2012-13 season.
The jersey is not devoid of new touches either. The Tauros Ten logo, which itself is meant to both pay tribute to and update the circle logo which the Tauros have had since 2014, will be on the shoulders of the jersey. Also referencing that this is the tenth season of the Tauros is a pattern of five stars on each thick arm stripe. The star is taken from the Tauros first “M” logo which was on the first black alternate jersey.
