Tauros Tender Emmons

Minot, ND – The Minotauros are proud to announce that forward John Emmons has become the seventh member of the Tauros tender class for the 2022-23 season.  A native of Washington, Michigan, Emmons has played for the Oakland Jr. Grizzlies for the last four seasons.

This season, his first at the 18U level Emmons has posted a goal and four assists in 12 games in the HPHL.  Last season playing at the 16U level Emmons posted 42 points in 48 games on 14 goals and 28 assists.  Despite posting strong point totals, Emmons considers himself “a versatile two way forward who can be effective in any situation.”

Tauros Head Coach and General Manager Cody Campbell agrees, “John, is a skilled and reliable young forward. He will be able to make an immediate impact for our team with his attention to detail and the way he sees the ice. We look forward to having John in Minot and helping him reach his goal of playing D1 college hockey.”

Emmons said he chose Minot, “after a few really good talks with Head Coach and GM Campbell and Assistant Coach [Darren] Banks. My advisor also helped in the decision and we believe that it is the best place for me to possibly continue to develop and grow as a player.”
