Minot, ND – The Minotauros are proud to announce that forward Max Martin has become the eighth member of the Tauros tender class for the 2022-23 season.  A native of Tawas City, MI, Martin has played for Biggby Coffee AAA 18u this season in the NAPHL.  Prior to joining Biggby this season Martin played 28 junior games for the Pembroke Lumber Kings posting four goals and 14 assists.  For the last two seasons he played for Fox Motors, the same program that produced Tauro Alum Sam Skinner and Ike Keller.

Tauros Head Coach and General Manager Cody Campbell raved about the Tauros latest signing, “Max has half of a year of junior experience in a good league in Canada and that experience will pay off through his transition to the NAHL. Max is a hard skill forward who is tough and responsible without the puck but also has the skill and hockey sense to create offensively. We are really excited to add him to our mix for next season.”

That skill and hockey sense have been on display all season as after posting 18 points in 28 games for Pembroke Martin returned to the States to play 18u where he has posted 43 points (22 goals and 21 assists) in 33 games.

Martin who has 32 goals over 75 games the last two seasons was not shy about the fact that he likes to score, “I see myself as a player that plays hard with a lot of skill. I am a versatile player who works hard and loves to find the back of the net.”

Martin added that he, “chose Minot because of the reputation and facilities they have. The coaches have been great to me so far and the opportunity was one I couldn’t pass up.”
