Tauros Tender Sewecke

Dec 14, 2021

Minot, ND – The Minotauros are proud to announce that forward Nicholas Sewecke has become the fifth member of the Tauros tender class for the 2022-23 season.  A native of Sewickley, PA, Sewecke, has played for the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite program for the last several seasons.

Currently in his second season playing at the 18u level he has 36 total points in 49 games at the highest youth level.  In his 16u season Sewecke posted 32 points in 49 games for the Penquins Elite.  The young forward says he chose Minot “because I was looking for the best place that could develop me as a person and as a player. Minot was the best of both worlds.”

Minotauros Head Coach/General Manager Cody Campbell described Sewecke: “Nick is a competitive 200ft player. His skating ability, sense, and tenacity will contribute to him being a very successful Tauro. We are thrilled for nick to be a part of our organization and look forward to helping him along his path to becoming a D1 hockey player.”

Sewecke agreed with Campbell’s assessment, “I see myself as a two-way forward. I am very involved in the defensive end and I also bring offensive through my playmaking abilities.”
