When a head coach at any level takes over in hockey, they want a chance to make the team in their vision. When Cody Campbell joined the Minot Minotauros as head coach just before the start of last season, he had to do it on the fly throughout the season. He was thankful for the effort the players made in adjusting to his style with very little time before games started.
“We had a fantastic group of kids here last year, Campbell said. “It was a difficult situation for me to step into, but even more so for them to make that adjustment. All of a sudden they have a new voice at the head of this thing. Just give so much credit to those guys for how open-minded they were and how much work they put in to try to make our vision of a whole come together.”
