Three Stars

Feb 1, 2019

Minot, ND – The North American Hockey League announced the rosters for the 2019 Top Prospects Tournament in Attleboro, Massachusetts today and the Tauros will have three players on the Team Central roster.   Forwards Fritz Belisle and Didrik Henbrant along with defenseman Lincoln Erne will represent the Minotauros.

The NAHL Top Prospects Tournament is one of the most highly-scouted events in junior hockey.  Last season, over 220 scouts attended the event, which featured almost every NHL team and NCAA Division I school. It continues to be an important part of the NAHL event model, which includes the NAHL Showcase in September and the NAHL Robertson Cup National Championship in May.

In his second year in Minot Fritz Belisle has posted 12 goals and 11 assists for the Tauros this season after posting 14 points last season as a rookie.   Belisle has also served as team Captain.  While this is Belisle’s first NAHL Top Prospects it is not his first junior All-Star Game, he represented the New Ulm Steel in the 2017 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament where he had two assists in three games.

Didrik Henbrant has posted 23 points through 40 games in his first season in the NAHL.  The twenty-year-old native of Sweden played four seasons of junior in his homeland before coming to the NAHL to attempt to earn a college opportunity.

Like Belisle Defenseman Lincoln Erne is in his second and final year as a Tauro.  After posting 17 points in 55 games as a rookie Erne has 24 points through 39 contests which is good for ninth among all NAHL defensemen.

Tauros Head Coach Marty Murray will also be going to the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament as he was selected to coach the NAHL Selects Red Team.

The Minotauros Top Prospects will be in action this weekend at the Maysa Arena against the Brookings Blizzard in the Tauros only home games in the month of February.
