Minot, ND – The Minotauros host the Aberdeen Wings on tonight on $5.00 ticket night sponsored by Enbridge. The Tauros sit three points behind the Wings and Bobcats for the top spot in the Central Division.
The Tauros are 2-1-0 against the Wings this season. Jay Buchholz leads the Tauros with two goals and two assists against the Wings. Cole O’Connell also has four points against Aberdeen with a goal and three assists. Kyler Kleven, who has five goals in the last three games, also has two goals against the Wings. Tauros goaltenders Ben Garrity and A.J. Ruskowski, have a combined .924 SV% against the Wings.
The Aberdeen Wings offense ranks fifth in the league, scoring 3.76 goals per game while taking the most shots per game at 35.20. Jakob Breault sets the pace for the Wings at 24 points on eight goals and 16 assists. Cooper Haar has 17 points in 13 games with the Wings since being acquired from Lone Star, including two assists against the Tauros.
Tuesday night is also the final game during which the Tauros and Minot Hockey Boosters will be collecting Toys for their inaugural toy drive. The toys will be donated to the Minot Domestic Violence Center and to organizations on Minot Air Force Base. Fans who bring a toy to tomorrow’s game will receive a flex ticket which can be used for a future Tauro game.
