Minot, ND – The Minot Minotauros are proud to announce the addition of a virtual option to our Teddy Bear Toss Night. For $15 through the Tauros online store fans from anywhere in the world can sponsor a bear to be thrown during the Teddy Bear Toss Game on December 18th. That $15 includes a $10 donation to the Teddy Bear Toss partner organization of the donors’ choice, a ticket for someone that the organization chooses, and teddy bear for that ticket holder to bring to the game and throw onto the ice after the Tauros first goal.
As always the Tauros will be donating the Bears collected during the Teddy Bear Toss Game to the Teddy Bear Toss partner organizations. As such, fans who are attending the game are still encouraged to bring their own new or gently used stuffed friends to throw to the ice after the first Minotauros goal of the night.
Over the last ten seasons our Teddy Bear Toss game has brought in thousands of stuffed animals for local causes, but has historically been limited to fans who can attend the Teddy Bear Toss Game. With the addition of a virtual option fans who cannot attend the Teddy Bear Toss Game can still participate while raising funds for good causes throughout the Minot community while also sending a fan who might not otherwise get to participate in the festivities to the game with a bear. These stuffed animals have been used by local organizations to bring comfort to countless children in times of sadness or crisis. We are excited to open the event to Tauros fans from around the world who can not be in the Maysa Arena on December 18th.
Currently the Minotauros Teddy Bear Toss Partner Organizations include: Domesitc Violence Crisis Center, Independence Inc., the Minot Police Department K-9 Fund, Minotauros Booster Club, Nexus-Path, Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports, Project Bee, The Salvation Army, and Youthworks.
