Mason City, Iowa – This weekend, the Minot Minotauros will hit the road for their first away series of the regular season. The team is set to take on the North Iowa Bulls on Friday and Saturday, with puck drop scheduled for 7:10 p.m. both nights.

Following a split last weekend with the Aberdeen Wings, the Tauros enter play with eight points on the year and an overall record of 4-2-0 and currently slot in at fifth place in the NAHL Central Division. The team below them in the standings are the Bulls, who have struggled to get going this year with a record of 1-6-0 and two points in the early goings.

The Tauros currently have five players who are leading the way with four points this season in Jack O’Hanisain (one goal, three assists); Weston Knox (four assists); Joel Lehtinen (one goal, three assists); Chad Muller (three goals, one assist); and Trevor Stachowiak (four assists).

Muller’s three goals currently leads the team, while Will Dawson is not far behind with two goals thus far. If early signs are an indication of how the upcoming series will go, Minot should have a productive weekend against a North Iowa team that has given up 29 goals through seven games.

On the other end of the ice, the trio of netminders for Minot in James Norton, Erick Chaffe, and Brady James have allowed just 14 goals which currently sits as the lowest amount in the Central Division, even though the team has played the least amount of games.

Although both the Tauros and Bulls are Central Division teams, they have yet to share a common opponent at this point of the season, but that will obviously change in the near future. The Bulls dropped a game to the Austin Bruins, then were swept by the Bismarck Bobcats, while the Tauros split with Aberdeen to open series play.

As always the games can be seen NAHLtv via pay-per-view video or listened to for free via Mixlr in the Tauros Hockey mobile app for Apple and Android as well as Facebook Live.
