Minot, ND – The Highway 83 rivalry rages on as the Minotauros take on the Bismarck Bobcats this weekend.  The home-and-home series kicks off in North Dakota’s capital before shifting back to the Pepsi Rink at Maysa Arena on Saturday.

The Tauros are .500 all-time against the Cats including a split of the first two games this season with the road team winning each contest in a weekend series earlier this month.  The Tauros 4-1 win over Bismarck in the Saturday game of that series kicked off a five-game winning streak that came to an end last Saturday against the Aberdeen Wings.  Meanwhile the Bobcats have gone 2-2-0 since then with an off weekend.

For the Tauros Nick O’Hanisain and Hunter Longhi are tied for the team lead with 15 points.  O’Hanisain’s points and six goals both lead all NAHL defensemen.  Evan Hunter leads the Cats with 14 points on seven goals and seven assists.  Vertti Jantunen led all scores with two goals and an assist in the first two games between the Tauros and Cats; O’Hanisain had three points as well all on assists.
